The Committee

Manton Pre-School is a charity run by a committee of volunteer parents/guardians.

The committee is the legally registered provider of care at Manton Pre-School and as such is responsible for ensuring that the care and education provided by the staff meets legal obligations.

We are always looking for additional helpers for specific fundraisers or activities and are very keen to welcome any support you feel you could give. Please speak to any member of the committee to express your interest.

The pre-school also has Qualified Bank Staff (minimum of Level 2).  All Bank Staff have training in Safeguarding and Basic First Aid.

If you would like to become a member of the new September 2016 committee, please contact Sophia on mantonpreschoolchair@gmail.com.

The committee meets during mid-week mornings or evenings, once per term.

All families are welcome to attend the committee meetings, but only the committee members themselves may vote and there is only one vote per family.

All committee members are DBS checked.

Obviously, as children leave Manton Pre-School to pastures new, so do the committee members, therefore, there are always openings, especially during the period leading up to our AGM (Annual General Meeting). No previous experience is required. The current committee will endeavour to hand over duties in a supportive way to new members.

Committee meetings are informal and are a good way to meet other parents.

The views of all committee members are valued.

Both mothers and fathers can join the committee.

Without a management committee, Manton Pre-School could not operate.
